Obama Flunky David Axelrod Cackles No Compromise on Jobs Bill

Townhall.com

Welcome to compromise, Obama campaign style:

Obama’s top political adviser David Axelrod said Tuesday that the administration was unwilling to break up the president’s $447 billion jobs plan if Republicans were only receptive to passing certain elements.  “We’re not in a negotiation to break up the package. It’s not an a la carte menu. It’s a strategy to get this country moving,” Axelrod said Tuesday on ABC’s Good Morning America.  “The president has a package; the package works together. We need to do many things to get this economy moving,” Axelrod said.

Hey David, no negotiation? President Obama does not pass legislation. Passing legislation is reserved to Congress. Congress has two chambers, the House and Senate. The Senate is divided, with the Democrats having a slight majority, but as a chamber it gives plenty of power to the minority to not be steamrolled as a matter of check and balance upon the majority. The House is overwhelmingly in control of the Republicans, and may after today be even a little more so given the special elections. The American people voted for this situation in terms of balance of power. So, if you do not want to compromise, then you will get nothing and deservedly so. Work on the areas you have common ground. If you are unwilling and unable to do so, there is no reason for the Republicans to give you an inch. They were voted in, in record numbers last fall to hamper your full tilt to the radical left. Most of your rhetoric was just bits of red meat thrown out to incite your base. You propose funneling even more money to your crony Union special interest groups after the first massive funnel of taxpayers’ money to them failed to get the economy moving (which we entirely predictable). But why should anyone in the country outside of those you seek to buy votes from back your plan? We see through your transparent corruption as pathetic attempts to purchase favor just enough to win reelection. And we see that you are willing to spend almost unlimited amounts of other people’s money to make sure you keep an iron fist on power. Sorry, most of us aren’t buying it any more. We don’t want your leftist collectivist authoritarianism.

Intelligent people know the stimulus is a disaster. Son of stimulus will fail as did the mother of all stimuli which promised to hold unemployment at 8%. Unemployment is now 9.1% and 2.3 million jobs have been lost since the Obama Democrat trillion dollar stimulus plan was enacted. In fact 3 mil jobs have been lost since Obama took over the White House. The democrats have brought misery, despair and hopelessness to Americans.

FCC Finally Gets the 30 Ought 6 and Takes the Fairness Doctrine out to the Back 40 and Puts it out of it’s Misery

Posted in Lamestream Media with tags , , , , , , , on August 23, 2011 by Ferrell Gummitt

Praise God for this.  Freedom of Speech now truly rules the airwaves.

Adweek

The Federal Communications Commission announced today that it has eliminated more than 80 outdated media rules, including the controversial Fairness Doctrine, which, until it was halted in the 1980’s, required broadcasters to include different viewpoints on “issues of public importance.”

“The elimination of the obsolete Fairness Doctrine regulations will remove an unnecessary distraction,” FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said in a statement. “As I have said, striking this from our books ensures there can be no mistake that what has long been a dead letter remains dead.”

The doctrine hasn’t actually been enforced since 1987, when it was deemed unconstitutional by the FCC. But Republicans and conservative broadcasters, worried about its reemergence, pushed for the doctrine to be officially removed from the rulebooks, despite the fact that President Obama repeatedly stated that he didn’t support the doctrine.

The FCC is also doing away with two corollaries to the doctrine, which forced broadcasters endorsing a particular political candidate to give other candidates equal time, and to give candidates time to respond to personal attacks. Both corollaries were repealed by the FCC in 2000, but also remained on the books.

It’s absolutely fascinating to watch the libunatics progress through various stages of meltdown as their communist agenda is undone.

John Kerry: ‘This Is the Tea Party Downgrade’

The Blaze.com

Senator John Kerry

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) continued his attack on the Tea Party on Sunday, calling Standard & Poor’s Friday downgrade of the U.S. credit rating “the Tea Party downgrade.”

Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the former presidential candidate said the Tea Party was at fault after its members held up the negotiation process and refused to get on board with plans on the table.

“I believe this is without question the Tea Party downgrade,” Kerry said. “This is the Tea Party downgrade because a minority of people in the House of Representatives countered even the will of many Republicans in the United States Senate who were prepared to do a bigger deal, to do $4.7 trillion or $4 trillion, have a mix of reductions and reforms in social security, Medicare, Medicaid, but also recognize that we needed to do some revenue.”

Last week, Kerry blasted the Tea Party and said its members don’t “deserve” equal time or balance in the media because their ideas are not “legitimate.”

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) responded to Kerry’s comments, defending the Tea Party’s refusal to sign on and blaming President Barack Obama for a “failure to lead” during the debt crisis.

“The fact is the president never came forward with a plan, “McCain said”There was never a specific plan, there was as always the so-called leading from behind.”

Still, the former Republican presidential candidate said “we could have reached an agreement a lot earlier,” but Tea Party members elected last fall had an obligation to follow through on their campaign promises.

Easy John, why the long face? That’s right, you look like a horse and an a$$ when you speak.

“Members of the House of Representatives had a mandate last November, it was jobs and the economy and it was spending,” he said. “For them to agree to tax and spending increases was obviously a repudiation of the mandate they felt they have from last November.”

The Tea Party is at fault because we didn’t get on board with the plans on the table?????  What is this man smoking or snorting? As I remember only a few days past, WE were the only ones who had plans on the table to consider and it was them who weren’t getting on board with OUR plan, so I put the downgrade on the liberals shoulders for lack of negotiation with the ONLY plan on the table.

I also put the downgrade back on them for spending wildly over the last 2 1/2 years. Nothing they did worked. A bad solution that went astray from lack of knowledge. You can’t BUY your way out of “no more money” like Obama did. Everything he did was the wrong thing, spending more of our money like a drunk instead of spending wisely to put more back to work. What did it cost our Country when he saved a few hundred jobs at the cost of over $100,000 per job he saved? He could have given that as rebates to the entire country and not been as deep in the hole as he is, and he dug it himself, NOT George Bush. It‘s his own stupidity and how’s that for Hope & Change? Fools.

Obama’s Heroin: Taxes and Debt

Posted in Barack Obama, Debt Ceiling, One and Done with tags , , , , , , , on August 3, 2011 by Ferrell Gummitt

Wayne Alan Root

Incredibly, Obama and his Democrats are now blaming the victims in the debt-ceiling crisis.

These out of control D.C. spending addicts are exactly like drug addicts who have abandoned their spouse, kids, and job to do drugs 24 hours a day. Even though they’ve stolen from us, we do all we can to get them into rehab. But since they don’t want to stop drugs, what we get in return is hate, anger, and blame.

They accuse us of being horrible people for not willingly handing over more money to feed their spending addiction. They absurdly assert it’s our entire fault and that we’ve forced them to rob us at gunpoint. And they scream that we are extreme.

Like all addicts, it has to be someone else’s fault. In this case they blame the taxpayers and the tea party. It’s our fault because we won’t willing give them more money.

Unfortunately, the addiction of Obama and Congress is destroying the American economy and enslaving our children and grandchildren to unimaginable debt for decades to come.

In the midst of this crisis, the tea party has come to the rescue. The tea party is trying to save America.

Heavy federal, state, local, sales, property, and corporate taxes are already choking the entire U.S. economy. The addiction to spending is the problem. Raising taxes hasn’t helped Europe. The PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain) are all insolvent and bankrupt despite much higher taxes than America.

More money has never helped a single addict in world history. Only tough love, discipline and rehab solves the problem.

Obama needs to stand up in front of America and say, “My name is Barack Obama and I am an addict. I apologize to the taxpayers, all of whom I have wronged. I apologize for spending our economy into insolvency and bankruptcy. I apologize for the historic levels of unsustainable debt. I apologize for trying to blame the victims (taxpayers) for my illness.”

It all starts with admitting you have a problem.

We must not accept one dollar in new taxes.

Obama and Congress must learn to live with the money they’ve got. No more blaming the victim. The tea party and the taxpayers are the heroes here.

Obama is casting the tea party as radicals, insinuating treason for refusing to raise taxes or the debt ceiling.

I’d like to remind Mr. Obama that is exactly what King George and his House of Lords called the original American tea party patriots. That didn’t work out so well for the king the first time.

Facts from Obama’s “Summer of Recovery”:

Look where we are now!

  • · 9.2% unemployment
  • · 19.1% ACTUAL unemployment (including those that aren’t looking for work anymore)
  • · $14.4 trillion in debt
  • · 1.9 million jobs lost since the so called “stimulus”
  • · More people than ever in history are on food stamps
  • · People are on unemployment longer than any time since the Great Depression
  • · 59% disapprove of the way Obama is handling the economy

At the end of the day, Obama is an empty suit. Liberals like to talk about how smart he is, but who knows. Has anyone ever seen a college transcript? Did he receive admission to some of the most elite institutions on his own merits, or did he fill a quota?

What else has he accomplished? Has he ever really worked for a living? Does he know what it is like to start a company or meet a payroll?

Obama, on the other hand, has no body of work to support his promotion to president of USA Inc. He can’t solve the country’s problems because he has never had to solve problems in the past. He is also useless without his teleprompter, another black mark. A fancy slogan can get you elected; it won’t help you run the country.

Nancy Pelosi and the Legion of Progressive Doom to the Rescue

Congresswoman FROZEN FACE LIFT TOASTIE Just Plain Old Batshit Crazy Pelosi:

“What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget,” she said. “We’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.”

Dear Nancy:
Please tell me how life on this planet  is so full of botox that people are given the wrong impression of things when they look at it? Coming from the biggest fake that preaches a big lie – she should tell us what is real and what has been altered to fool people including everything on her face.

Look Babe you and the Temple of Doom are dumping gas on the fire. If you had your way, you would keep dumping gas on the fire until the house is burned down.

Progressive ideology has whittled away at some of our most vibrant cities over the last 40 years leaving shadowy ghost towns of what used to be.

The people who have remained behind in these cities are now stuck in a vicious circle not of share the wealth and social justice but high taxes, poverty and lack of opportunity, but so dependent that they fear leaving will mean their failure unable to see this ideology has already left them in failure.

Now we have at least 1 state that is a ghost state of its former vibrant self after decades of progressive ideology again killed opportunity, ambitions and community.

Been to Michigan lately? Do we really want the rest of the country to become Michigan large? Lady, Go on EBAY and find a house in Detroit, you can buy one for the cost of one of your BOTOX treatments.  LITERALLY!!!

  • “You must drain the swamp if you are going to govern for the people.”(2006) ………..Nancy PelosiWell, Nanc, go get the plunger because you and your party have a lot of scum floating on top of that pond.

Governor Andrew Cuomo makes exception for Religious Groups to get Gay Marriage Law passed in NY

Townhall.com

To win approval of his gay marriage bill in New York State, Governor Andrew Cuomo offered legal “protection” for religious groups that reject same sex unions. Four misguided Republican Senators broke with their party to back the legislation because of provisions permitting churches to deny their facilities for same sex ceremonies. But why is it acceptable to change the status of people of faith- a clear majority of the American public –to the position of some irrelevant minority? Homosexuals, a tiny minority of less than 3%, have imposed on society and government the radical notion that gender doesn’t matter—that a man choosing to marry a man is no different from a man marrying a woman. Meanwhile, the traditional understanding of marriage has been officially rejected by government, and will be tolerated only as a matter of religious dissent.

In other words, why should an “exception” or protection have to be made so that Traditional Bible believing churches will not be sued into oblivion if they will not perform same sex marriages?  Shouldn’t this be a given?  If a same-sex couple wants to get married at a Justice of the Peace or a church that condones gay marriage then fine, have at it.  But if a traditional church will NOT perform a same sex for biblical and moral reasons they should never be compelled to perform the ceremonies period end of story.  WHY do exceptions need to be made?

To my understanding Gay Marriage may become the law of all 50 states very soon.  If that happens, I guess I can do nothing about it since it seems to be imposed on the people by the courts and the state legislatures.  And I will deal with it.

But, if a bible believing church in my area is ever forced/compelled/cajoled to perform a same sex marriage or risk a lawsuit and/or closure, my ass if out with a picket sign the day the same sex couple is getting married.

 Count on that.

Newt, Your Horse is Lame on Three Legs – Time to Get the 30 Ought 6 Out and Put It out of It’s Misery

Newt Gingrich’s Fundraising Advisors Quit

From AP

ATLANTA — Newt Gingrich’s top two fundraising advisers resigned on Tuesday, and officials said the Republican candidate’s hobbling presidential campaign carried more than $1 million in debt.

The departures of fundraising director Jody Thomas and fundraising consultant Mary Heitman were the latest blow for the former House speaker who watched 16 top advisers abandon his campaign en masse earlier this month, partly because of what people familiar with the campaign spending described as a dire financial situation.

These people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the campaign inner workings, said the former Georgia lawmaker racked up massive travel bills but money had only trickled in since he got into the race earlier this spring.

These officials said that he is at least $1 million in debt. The current fundraising quarter ends June 30, and Gingrich will have to disclose his campaign finances by July 15. He is personally wealthy and could fund his campaign out of his own pocket, at least in the short term, to keep his campaign afloat.

Gingrich has insisted that he will not abandon his troubled bid and will continue fighting for the Republican nomination for president “no matter what it takes.” He’s revamping his campaign, given the series of departures.

“Newt 2012 continues its reorganization and alignment as a grassroots driven, substantive, solutions-oriented campaign,” a spokesman, R.C. Hammond, told the Associated Press, adding that the campaign is “as committed as ever.”

He said aides and volunteers continue to raise money, despite the absences of Thomas and Heitman. Hammond refused to discuss details of the financial situation.

Heitman, a former fundraiser with the Republican National Committee, declined to comment. Thomas did not return a phone call seeking comment.

Underscoring the financial difficulties he faces, Gingrich has traded in private jets for commercial flights; on Tuesday, he was traveling commercially from Washington for an appearance in Georgia.

Troubles have plagued the Gingrich campaign since its formal launch just five weeks ago.

He drew fire from conservatives after an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” in which he likened a Republican budget plan that passed the House to “right-wing social engineering.”

Days of bad publicity followed revelations that he had a no-interest loan account at luxury jeweler Tiffany’s worth up to $500,000. And just as the GOP presidential race began to heat up, Gingrich disappeared on a luxury cruise in the Greek Isles with his wife, Callista.

This dog appears healthier than your Presidential Campaign Newt

Then, his top advisers walked on him.

He has refused to answer questions about his rocky rollout, his vacation to the Mediterranean or the exodus of his top staff from his headquarters near Atlanta and from the early nominating states.

“I will endure the challenges. I will carry the message of American renewal to every part of this great land,” Gingrich told a crowded ballroom at a Beverly Hills hotel recently. “And with the help of every American who wants to change Washington, we will prevail.”

Since his campaign meltdown, he has largely kept a low profile, favoring messages on Twitter and television interviews to interacting with voters.

Gingrich was scheduled to meet with tea party activists in Savannah later Tuesday. He planned to speak to the Atlanta Press Club for a speech on Wednesday. In a sign that others may be questioning the Gingrich campaign’s viability, Atlanta Press Club Executive Director Lauri Strauss said that a corporate sponsor had not stepped up to sponsor Gingrich’s speech, as is customary with most addresses before the group.

Gingrich is scheduled to headline a birthday celebration at his Atlanta campaign headquarters on Wednesday and then to appear at a hotel near the Baltimore-Washington International Airport on Thursday. Both are far from states that hold the first contests of the GOP nomination fight, Iowa and New Hampshire.

He is slated to return to Iowa this weekend.

Newt, you cheated on two wives serving one of them divorce papers while she was in the hospital.  You went after Ryan about the deficit.  And I think the only one whom hasn’t left your campaign is your dog.  It’s time to pull up stakes dude and see if Fox News Channel has any openings.

Obama is going to follow in the steps of Jimmy Carter and Bush 41 and will do the One-Termer Dance. 10 Reasons Why:

Posted in Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Lamestream Media, One and Done, Unions with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on June 20, 2011 by Ferrell Gummitt

From Human Events:

Less than two months ago, buzzing from the president’s gutsy call to eliminate Osama bin Laden, and liberal pontificators had practically sworn in Barack Obama for his second term. “For the GOP the sands are rushing through the hourglass,” Roger Simon wrote in a column whose title had wondered whether the president was “invincible.” He claimed that with Geronimo KIA, “the Republican field has been fried like an egg.” In reality, the president’s short-term popularity boost had fried the long-term judgment of his supporters.

The reasons to believe Obama a one-term president are many and well-grounded.

10. The Declaration of Independents

Candidate Obama attracted independents. President Obama repulses them. The president entered office with the approval of 62 percent of independents. The latest Gallup poll shows support of just 42 percent of independents. Similarly, the political moderate’s keys to his election have deserted the president as immoderate policies have emerged. There simply aren’t enough liberals for Democrats to lose moderates and win elections. No Democratic candidate over the last half century has won the presidency without winning moderates.

9. A Redder America

Barack Obama faces a redder electoral map than he did in 2008. The 2012 presidential election is more than a year away, but the Electoral College has already shifted twelve votes away from blue states and toward red states. Most of the states gaining electoral votes in the census reapportionment voted for McCain. Almost all of the states losing electoral votes voted for Obama. Even the states that Obama carried that added electoral votes—Nevada and Florida, to name two—don’t seem locks to go for the president in 2012. The loss of electoral votes isn’t fatal to Obama. It is a handicap.

8. The Issues Have Changed

Gallup’s “Monthly Most Important Problem” survey is a problem for the president. What is troubling the American people? Over the first five months of 2011, Americans point to the economy (29%), unemployment (26%), the deficit (13%), and government (11%). The issues most salient to voters uniformly work to the incumbent’s disadvantage. When Iraq, health care, and Republican mishandling of the economy mattered to voters, Obama could go on the offensive. It’s difficult to see how he scores points in 2012 on the issues that resonate with voters. He will be on his heels.

7. The Blank Canvass Isn’t Anymore

Other than William Jennings Bryan and Wendell Willkie, who is the major party nominee with a skimpier record than 2008’s Barack Obama? He could vote “present” in the Illinois legislature and run away from U.S. Senate votes while running for higher office. But presidents can’t remain blank slates for long. Unpopular Obama Care, a sedative stimulus, ineptness in the face of the BP oil spill, and defiance of Congress in starting a third Middle Eastern war have all painted a presidential picture that has calcified conservative opposition, alienated moderates, and disillusioned liberal supporters.

6. Demoralized Liberals

Left-wing activist Ralph Nader encourages a primary challenge. Ohio Democrat Dennis Kucinich sues the administration over Libya. Netroots conference goers boo White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer. Rather than rejoice at a universal health-care bill that eluded predecessors or the introduction of open homosexuality in the military, liberals decry Obama for retaining Bush-era tax rates, playing warden over Guantanamo Bay, and launching a new war in Libya. Never can Democrats satiate their cannibalistic base. If you think this is an overstatement, feel free to examine the teeth marks on the political carcasses of Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, and Lyndon Johnson. Leftists may not primary this president or siphon votes through a suicidal third-party bid. But neither will they work or give at the levels they did in 2008.

5. Energized Conservatives

After eight years of big-government Bush, an underwhelming primary field, and a sclerotic general election campaign, conservatives could be given a mulligan for sleepwalking through the last presidential election. Conservatives, just 34 percent of the electorate in 2008’s election, comprised 42 percent of voters in 2010. From tea-parties to raucous town halls, the political dynamic of the country has been altered. It showed in 2010, when Republicans added 63 House seats, seven Senate seats, and six governors. Nothing invigorates a party’s base like an aggressive ideologue of the opposing party occupying the White House. The GOP clearly has the momentum heading into 2012.

4. The Political Ground has shifted Beneath the President’s Feet

a political lifetime has elapsed since Barack Obama’s election. Bailouts and big-government have yielded to tea parties and deficit angst. Gallup’s ideological identification survey registered the highest percentage of liberals in its history the year of Barack Obama’s election. Gallup’s most recent ideological identification survey registered its highest percentage of conservatives since the inaugural 1992 poll. Between the 2008 survey and last year’s, conservatives have gained seven points vis-à-vis liberals. To know liberalism isn’t to love it.

3. Historic Turnouts Aren’t Every-Four-Year Occurrences

Obama surfed to victory in 2008 on the crest of two historic waves. African Americans constituted a larger percentage of the electorate than ever recorded. And young people voted for the Democratic candidate by the greatest margin ever. Two-thirds of 18-to-29 year olds cast ballots for Obama. A staggering 19 out of every 20 African American voters pulled the lever for Obama. The precarious foundation of the Democrat’s election rested on the remarkable turnout, and the amazing one-sidedness, of two constituencies—African Americans and young people—who traditionally stay home on Election Day. That both groups have been hit especially hard by the economic slump makes it hard to envision a repeat of the amazing African American turnout and one-sided youth vote.

2. A Low Ceiling

Roger Simon wondered if the president was “invincible” in the wake of killing bin Laden. More perceptive observers saw vulnerability. Counter intuitively, the assassination of America’s most reviled enemy revealed Barack Obama’s political weaknesses, not his strengths. The president’s weekly Gallup approval average topped out at 51 percent following the bin Laden operation. The best possible week of Obama’s presidency yielded barely half of the electorate’s support. His enemies should acknowledge the man has a floor of support. His supporters should acknowledge he has a ceiling, too.

1. It’s Still the Economy, Stupid

The Misery Index, popularized by Governor Carter to hound President Ford only to be President Carter’s undoing, haunts Democrats again. The combined unemployment and inflation rates are at their worst level in twenty-eight years. The stock market has just spent six weeks in the red. The GDP grows at an anemic rate of 1.8 percent. The housing market has been in shambles for five years, and seems to be double dipping. Debt approaches GDP. Flat-lining and nose-diving trend lines make the president’s reelection precarious. Even a browbeaten Bill Daley, the president’s chief of staff, conceded to an incensed National Association of Manufacturers convention, “Sometimes you can’t defend the indefensible.” He said it.

Barack Obama is a formidable campaigner. His presidency is not without accomplishment (see, Osama bin Laden). And occupants of the White House have lost general elections just five times in the last hundred years. But he has governed ineffectively and stubbornly against the wishes of the American people. He could win reelection. But the preponderance of indicators suggests his defeat. This should make conservatives hopeful for change.

Brass Tacks.  There are only 2 reasons Obama won in 2008:

1) Obama was a blank slate that the Lame-stream press painted to match the moment
2) McCain was an old fart who didn’t know how to read his own Email – and boasted of it

This time around everyone knows Dear Leader Obama – the golf swings and vacations.  Obama is a well known failure.

The GOP will run the Anti-Obama – someone who is young, energetic, ruthless, and 180 degrees different than Obama in EVERY way.

Obama is toast…..

Plus chew on these facts:

Almost all of the states have very serious debt problems.

Most of the debt problems are caused by the out of control state pensions. The Democrats strongly support the unions. Obama bailed out the pension plans of GM and Chrysler and stiffed the car company’s creditors. I believe that around 16 billion will not be paid back. Unfortunately, the unions come across as loud, obnoxious thugs that have no problem destroying public property such as the state capital in Wisconsin.

The President promised to get out of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Not only are we still in Afghanistan and Iraq, but Obama has now started a
third war in Libya. He did not bother to inform Congress that he was going to
war. The war in Libya is not going well. The President is denying that a war
exist since NATO is conducting the war.

During Obama’s term the national debt has increased by trillions.

The bond rating agency, Standard and Poor, has changed the outlook
for the rating on US Bonds from stable to negative. During the CR negotiations,
the Democrats fought hard to not reduce spending.

The unemployment rate is still around 9 percent.

Obama has done little to help the unemployment situation. His most recent example is to
loan billions to a foreign country for off shore drilling, however, he has no
problem in shutting down drilling in the Gulf with the result of tens of
thousands people out of work. During the run up to the next election, it is
predicted that the unemployment rate will stay above 8 percent.

In the past year the cost of Regular Gas has increased from $2.89 to $3.82. The cost of the following items has also increased over the last year: Tomato 13.9%, Wheat 51.73%, Sugar 54.17%, Coffee 123.16%, Corn 103.85%, Butter 31.50%, Coca 9.24%,
Soybeans 35.17%, Cotton 144.37% and Milk 10%. We are going into stagflation;
high unemployment and high inflation.

Finally, instead of drilling for oil, Obama is banking on electric cars to solve the high cost of gasoline problems.  Carter like inflation, high interest rates, and stagnant wage growth are just around the corner.

America is in Deep Shit Debt Folks…

Posted in Barack Obama, Dimmocrats, Insanity is a Liberal Disorder, National Debt with tags , , , , , , , , on May 26, 2011 by Ferrell Gummitt

From Bill O’Reilly Talking Points 5/25/2011:

This week in Europe, President Obama will get quite an earful from foreign leaders who believe, as China does, that the USA is in dire trouble because of its massive debt. If America’s economy collapses, the whole world will suffer. But many Americans are not getting that.

The election on Tuesday in upstate New York, where a Democrat won a congressional seat in a heavy Republican district, shows that some voters simply do not understand that Medicare has to be reformed. The winner, Democrat Kathy Hochul, campaigned on not doing anything about the exploding cost of Medicare. Her campaign scared elderly people.

The fact is that the Democratic Party simply will not tell the truth. You cannot sustain entitlements like Medicare and Social Security based on their present form. There is not enough money to do that, no matter how high you raise taxes.

President Bush in 2008 was trying to warn the country, of the increasing debt but many Americans simply wouldn’t listen.

That is the exact same scenario today. We cannot add to the $14 trillion debt. The Democratic Party and President Obama have to stop deficit spending. They have to cut back on entitlements and everything else. Medicare and Social Security have to be reformed or America will suffer like it has never suffered before.

From: treasurydirect.gov:

On the day George W. Bush left office the national debt was $10.6 Trillion, which a hell of a lot of Samolians.

As of today, the national debt is $14.3 Trillion.
$3.7 Trillion more since Obama has been in Office.

So what America goes Bankrupt big deal, what will happen will I have to use Monopoly Money?

Not only that but:

1) Your life savings could be reduced to nothing almost overnight.
2) Your taxes will skyrocket.
3) Your life could be in danger. If the government goes bankrupt, you’ll have an extremely angry, confused, and frustrated populace that has little faith in its leaders — combined with a horrific economy and a reduced ability of the government to keep order. Under those circumstances, widespread rioting and violent crime seem entirely plausible.
4) Your payments from the government will dramatically decrease or stop altogether. Contrary to what some people believe, Medicare and Social Security are paid out of the same fund that pays for everything else. In other words, if the government goes bankrupt, there is no money set aside to pay for these programs.
5) You will have a dramatically reduced standard of living. If taxes and inflation escalate dramatically, both of which are very likely if we go bankrupt, economic activity will slow to a crawl and we’ll go into a depression.

Other than that everything is fine.  To quote Bobby McFerrin “Don’t Worry Be Happy”.
