Never let a good manufactured crisis go to waste – Obama attacks Rush Limbaugh.

At Tuesday afternoon’s press conference, President Obama crystallized the terms of the widespread outrage over Rush Limbaugh’s attacks on Georgetown law student and activist Sandra Fluke, denouncing the remarks, and telling reporters that when he called Ms. Fluke, it was with his own daughters in mind. The President said he wanted his daughters to be able to speak their minds “in a civil and thoughtful way. And I do not want those attacked or called horrible names.”

President Obama was asked “do you believe Rush Limbaugh’s apology was sufficient and heartfelt, and do you agree with the number of sponsors that have stopped supporting his show, and has there been a double standard? Liberal commentators have made distasteful statements and there’s not been such an outrage.”

The President skirted much of the question, saying, “You know, I’m not going to comment on what sponsors decide to do. I’m not going to comment on either the economics or the politics of it. I don’t know what is in Rush Limbaugh’s heart, so I’m not going to comment on the apology.”

He continued, “But I can comment on the fact that all good folks can agree that the remarks that were made don’t have any place in the public discourse. And you know, the reason I called Ms. Fluke is because I thought about my daughters, and one of the things I want them to do as they get older is to engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on. I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way.”

“And I do not want them attacked or called horrible names because they are being good citizens, and I wanted Sandra to know that I thought her parents should be proud of her, and that we want to send a message to all of our young people that being part of a democracy involves argument and disagreements and debate, and we want you to be engaged, and there’s a way to do it that doesn’t involve you being demeaned and insulted, particularly when you are a private citizen.”

First question:  Did Obama think about his daughters when the left was attacking Sarah Palin’s family?

Obama said that he doesn’t comment on pundits, but that he leads by example. All this three breaths after he had just commented on a pundit. He contradicted himself in one sentence. Does this guy ever listen to what he says? Was he leading by example when he called Tea Party Patriots a bunch of “tea baggers?” That’s Garofalo talk. That’s unbecoming of an imperial leader. He is so thin-skinned and arrogant that I don’t know how people can stand to eve be around him.

All this is one big damn three ring circus… Media has made a mountain out of this nonsense. Where was this “defense” when Maher made all his crude remarks about Sarah Palin? Where was his “press conference” when Michelle Bachmann was introduced on the Jimmy Fallon show with a song titled lying A B? It’s that “selective” liberal criticism at play once again. He’s got nothing positive to say about his epic failure in office, so silly distractions of calling for “civility” are “convenient” when his OPPOSITION speaks freely? Guess “free speech” is for only those that salute, and bow to our King and his media? I’ll just consider this “news conference” another sound bite for the opposition comes November… astounding hypocrisy… amazing double standards… what a putz.

HERE IS A POINT OF DISGRACE: This press conference was Obama’s first in a this year. The first time he has put himself out, other than for the ‘money beg’ for a COUPLE of questions. And keep in mind, this man is the President of a nation of 350,000,000 souls.  He is a coward to answer for himself or his completely ‘closed’ transparent administration on any real, meaningful level. He instead, ‘loads’ up the dialogue with scrap like the Sandra Fluke and Rush Limbaugh ‘deflection.’ We deserve far better than Barack Obama.

Rush Limbaugh has an open, transparent background in Conservative Talk Radio, providing the American Patriots three hours of truth in broadcasting every weekday. He is RIGHT 99.9% of the time, and has faithful listeners in the millions. He has watched liberal talk radio sink like a ship on rough seas, because the left has no message, only propaganda. When the TRUTH about liberalism is presented to the world each day by Rush, and exposure hits sunlight, the liberals can’t stand someone with Rush’s integrity to present THE OTHER SIDE. This is why Obama and his regime can’t stand for the truth to be researched and retold by Rush Limbaugh every day.

  1. “This press conference was Obama’s first in a year.” Sorry, this is his first press conference in 2012. It is his first since November, 2011. That is not a year ago. In your rush to condemn, you blew it.
