Let the name Jim Carrey be stricken from every box office record.
Let the name Jim Carrey be stricken from every movie theatre.
According to Neilsen, ABC’s annual rebroadcast of Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments (1956) pulled in 5.9 million viewers Saturday night. The religious epic, which stars Charlton Heston as Moses, has been a ratings winner for ABC every year since 1973 when the network first began its tradition of airing the classic over the Easter/Passover weekend.
Rest of Post Here.
Consider that “Ten Commandments” is available on DVD, Blu-Ray and has been rerun by ABC since 1973 on Easter weekend to get these kinds of ratings is remarkable. Charleton Heston played MOSES and Ben Hur. Jim Carrey played some stupid “pet detective” then a role in a movie where he was upstaged by a dumb dog and a 1000 year old mask. He also starred in a movie that perfectly describes him “dumb and dumber”. I’ll take Charleton Heston in a heartbeat…
Up in Heaven God, Jesus, Moses and Charleton Heston are smiling because they know there is still hope in our fallen world.
