The State Department has decided to reject the Keystone XL pipeline, industry sources tell Fox News, suggesting that the department will say 60 days is inadequate time to do the required environmental impact assessment on the path of the coveted pipeline. One source said the announcement could come as early as Wednesday.
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters in her afternoon briefing that she had nothing to share. “As of 30 seconds before I walked in, it was my understanding that a decision had not yet been made,” she said.
But White House Press Secretary Jay Carney would not say whether a decision had been made or not. “I’m not going to get ahead of the administration,” Carney said, adding that he may have more information later in the day.
While not confirming that a decision has been made, Carney blamed Republicans for putting “in jeopardy” the entire process. Republicans added a provision into the short-term payroll tax cut extension last year that compelled the Obama administration to make a decision on the pipeline in two months.

Some of the jobs the pipeline created would not be permanent so it’s better for those folks to remain unemployed then get a job that lasts for a year or two right?
And the permanent jobs? They would not be a lot so to the poor schleps that would have them it does not matter if they stay on unemployment longer!!
The employment money people get for working on these jobs, even if temporary wouldn’t do anything to maybe prevent some of these people from being foreclosed on, wouldn’t provide tax revenues, wouldn’t spur the economy, or have any other benefit to lower and middle income Americans.
This pipeline would only benefit the rich, because let’s face it, most of the welders, truck drivers, construction workers etc. that would be doing this labor would be RICH people out just having fun so it is good that the Commander in Chief of our Class warfare, President Obama, Who we love in spite of the fact that he is Rich, is going to quash this bill in our time of economic need.
Let’s focus more on shovel ready jobs that are not!! Or loaning risky businesses like Solyndra money rather than allowing free enterprise to create Jobs.
Because after all, the Presidents doing a great job at creating jobs , or well maybe he is a clueless ignoramus who thinks JOBS is a three letter word!
